History

We know so many people that said, “I wish this never ends, and I do not have to go back to my real life”. The never ending Safari idea was born! You will never forget your trip with us.

Infinito Safaris incorporates Mpunzi safaris, a company that was formed in 1987, focusing mainly on the hunting of plains game species with European clientele. More recently Mpumelelo Hunting Safaris joined the Infinito Safari family. This huge pool of experience resulted in a formidable force when it comes to the Safari industry. We know our business.

The hunting areas and animals

Our hunting areas cover over 200 000 acres. We hunt all the sub regions of Southern Africa, where it is safe for our guests. It differs from desert, semi-arid, bush veldt savannah and high veldt, to evergreen forest areas. We know our hunting areas, and the countries we hunt in, having hunted there ourselves.

The Southern African sub region arguably has the most diverse hunt-able species of game in the world. South Africa in particular is a very popular Safari destination and we therefore decided to use this country as our base for operations.

The reason why South Africa is so popular is because of the country's stable economy and politics, first world facilities, mostly malaria free, good and healthy stocks of game, and very professional Outfitters that have access to some of the most beautiful places on earth, like us!

As a member of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa (PHASA) and Safari Club International (SCI), the company adhere to the organizations code opf ethics.

Management

We would like to introduce Charl and Frederik, the two principals of Infinito Safaris.

Charl van Rooyen and Frederik Cocquyt.

Charl van Rooyen is the principal of Infinito Safaris. He was raised in the bush on a game farm by a father that hunted professional in the 1980's and early 1990's. Coming from a long line of pioneer hunters, the passion for nature and the thrill of the chase flows thick in his veins. Charl has succesfully integrated two other hunting business into Infinito Safaris, and is very proud of the hunting family that makes up Infinito today. Charl is also a qualified category C skipper, and do a lot of game fishing in the summer (non-hunting) months....He is a very strong believer in the company slogan of "The Infinite adventure" and live his life to that code.

Frederik Cocquyt born in Belgium but growing up as an Afrikaner in the small farm town of Ellisras has also very strong bond with nature and is also a very passionate photographer as well as a videographer. Being the only hunter in his family he found the urge to hunt in his blood and as been hunting since his early teens. Frederik will go to that extra length to assure a quality hunt.

Solly is our head tracker, and have the best and biggest smile in the world.

One of not many people left that was raised in the bush amongst the wild animals. All our guest are amazed by this little mans ability to spot game miles away, track them through the most difficult terrain, and the stamina of a wild animal. Solly is one of a kind, and he is very special to us!!!
