Chinol's from Italy

So we hosted these two Italian hunters that wanted to come and feel the African sun in December. I did warn them! What was supposed to be an impossible task turned out to be one of the great hunts we had ever. Marco and Ferrucio Chinol arrived on the 26’th of December 2009 and gorgeous and vibrant Venturella arrived on the 29’th. We had a great hunt, and the Chinol’s made US feel at home! Take note that all hunting was done from foot, apart for the Impala that was shot for camp meat. We started off with Marco and Ferrucio each quickly managed good one shot kills on an Impala ram and a Blue Wildebeest respectively. Then the fun started. Feruccio and Charl hunted a big Eland bull for 4 hours, before Feruccio pulled off one of the best shots an 19 year old could ever hope to make. The .308 Barnes X tripleshock took out the top of the bulls heart, and he did not make 20 meters. We were ecstatic. The bag at the end of the hunt consisted of the mentioned animals, plus top Red Hartebeest, Bushbuck, a monster Nyala, and of course the Gemsbok. We had one of the most fun filled hunts ever, and can just say thank you to the wonderful family for being such amicable and happy guests.

LATEST NEWS

We had lots of good rain in all our hunting areas. The bush and animals are responding well to this good, early rain. Sounds as if the hunting public from all over the globe are slowly recovering from the recession as inquiries for 2010 start flooding in. The animals that generates the most interest for 2010 so far are Kudu (again), Buffalo Cow hunts and Bushpigs with the bow.

The USA marketing tour was a success. We visited Dallas and Reno Safari expo’s as well as the ATA bow show. Hunts was booked, fun was had, and great friends made! We decided not to visit Europe this year due to early hunting commitments, but will do so next year!
