About us:

Brothers Charl and Carel van Rooyen are fanatical anglers in all the disciplines of angling. Having fished most of the Southern African sub region we pride ourselves as being masters in all the piscatorial departments!

The Lady

Infinito is a 18” T-Cat. Charl is the registered Skipper for Infinito and we can take her out to 30 Nautical sea miles. Specialy designed for the South African coastline, she can launched anywhere on a sandy beach if the weather permits. She is fully rigged with all the nesesary tackle and electronics to make your fishing experience a top one.

Travel
Option 1
Fly to Johannesburg International Airport and tour via road to Tofu through South Africa. This two day tour covers approx. 1500km of South Africa and Mozambique.

Option 2
Fly to Johannesburg and catch connecting flight to Villancolous where we will pick you up. The drive to Tofu is approx. 3 hours.

Accommodation
Thatched palm leaf huts done in true native fashion with comfortable beds and hot water en-suite facilities. Full catering and laundry service provided to high standard.

2. Mosselbay- South Africa

Join Charl and Carel in their fishing back yard. Fish the deep sea on Infinito for the magnificent Cob, Garrick and lots of bottomfish or explore the rocky coast line for big sharks and Musselcrackers. Spend some wonderful stary nights on the long sandy beaches, waiting for that elusive Cob or Bronze whaler to pick up your live bait. We also offer Spearfishing here, but only for experienced Spearo’s.

Fly to Johannesburg and get connecting flight to George. We will pick you up at George. The villa is only 1 hour away.

Accommodation
Our 4 bedroom villa are very upper class and well-appointed. Situated in the exclusive private holiday resort of Vleesbay, 30km’s south of Mosselbay. You can bring your wife and/or kids along on this one, as one of our staff will take them on daily trips to well known tourist spots, and also some more unknown ones as well.

The catering is five star and our staff will carry you on their hands with great service and traditional cuisine

3.Sunshine Valley – Groblersdal-  South Africa

Two hours drive from OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg brings us to the Sunshine valley.

Freshwater fishing at it’s best. Come and join us as we explore and fish the mighty Elephants river. Two big and well known fishing dams are built 60km’s from one another in this magnificent water system.

We fish with lure and bait for the hard fighting Tilapia Mozambiques and Black Bass. Specimen carp and the V6 of the freshwater, red -nosed mudfish (muddy) are also on the menu. Big Barbel are targeted at night and during dusk and dawn with lures and bait. To connect with these big catfish is pure fishing joy!

Fishing this system is ideal for hunters who would like to combine a fishing and hunting experience.

Accommodation
We use either of our hunting camps or Kingdoms lodge, a well known lodge close to the Elephants river, outside the town of Groblersdal. Wine and dine in style, as you admire one of the most gorgeous sunsets in Africa.

4. Highlands Meander

Trout in the highlands. Dullstroom is world renowned for its great trout fishing spots in the most stunning of settings nature could give us.

Flyfish for the kings of the mountain streams in an area that looks, and reminds so much of the Scottish highlands, that you can travel in time with your mind.

Accommodation

Relax with a good Scotch on a comfortable couch in front of a log fire after a hard days fishing. Our competent staff will treat you with fresh drinks and the best of local food!

5. Golden Mile – Vaal River – South Africa

Join the brothers van Rooyen for one of the most exhilarating freshwater fly fishing experiences in the world as they go after the elusive and very hard fighting Smallmouth Yellowfish.

We call our secret spot on the Vaal the golden mile for the quality and quantity of fish that it produces for us. This is truly a MUST have experience for all flyfisherman from all over the world. The freshwater “Bonefish” will have you laying in bed for months afterwards figuring out how to get back.
